Our Lady and St Brigid Northfield

Peace Rosary

Inspired by Pope Francis devotion to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots, the weekly Rosary Group decided to place their ministry and witness under her patronage (Our Lady, Undoer of Knots).

The weekly rosary is engaged in using the Zoom app and the Internet, and can be accessed as follows;

1. An invitation is sent out each week to each group member.

2. We say 5 decades of a Scriptural Rosary whereby each Hail Mary is preceded by a short verse from Holy Scripture.

3. Before we start the first decade, we say a prayer for peace composed in 2009 jointly by a Christian, a Muslim and a Jew.

4. Between the 3rd and 4th decades, we say a prayer to Our Lady, begging for her intercession in the search for peace.

5. Our Rosary ends with the 5th decade, followed by the Hail Holy Queen and the ‘Let Us Pray’ prayer that normally ends every rosary.

6. Finally, there is another prayer to Our Lady asking for her help in the search for peace.

Everyone is welcome to become a member of this group. It is a very simple and straightforward thing to participate (we’ll show you how).

These Tuesday ‘virtual prayer meetings’ run from 11.30 until about 12.10.

If you should wish to become involved, you can do so in one of two ways:

1. Using your own Internet connection OR

2. If you have a SMART phone with 5G or 4G connectivity.
